Herij Matrix is seeking experienced Tax Preparers for the 2024 Income Tax Season. Must have a current PTIN certificate. In this role, you will apply a value-based methodology offering educational tips to clients to help them in understanding their income profile including: W-4 forms, annual expenses, exemptions, credit, deductions, etc. Our SBITP’s advocate for our clients by creating accurate tax reports, offering audit assistance, and creating referral-based relationships.

Requirements:
•    Must be passionate about numbers, money, finances, and tax law.
•    Associate’s degree in Accounting is preferred, but not required.
•    Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
•    Active PTIN (EFIN is preferred, but not required).
•    Experience with FBAR is appreciated
•    Prior Drake, CrossLink, ProSeries, or TaxWise software usage (is preferred, but not required).
•    Successfully complete and pass all Herij Taxes Tax Prep Class modules.
•    Must be willing to complete 18 hours continuing education annual requirement and meet all IRS and applicable state requirements.
•    Bilingual is a plus - Spanish/English/French.
•    Excellent active listening, prospecting, problem solving, and closing skills with a contagiously positive attitude!

This position has access to and regularly work with confidential personal information of individuals and their businesses; also matters which require a passion for navigating around tax law. It is essential that you are outgoing, attentive, and exhibit strong communication skills to deal with diverse personalities; all factor that establish and trust.

This person diligently creates relationships through multiple efforts including phone, email, social media, videos, web presentations, chamber meetings, and networking events.

Responsibilities:
•    Conducts a thorough in-person or telephone interview with potential clients, using the company's Herij Matrix-Intake model and software application to discover financial transactions the taxpayer(s) experienced in the tax year.
•    Generating business growth by performing a deep-dive conversation to increasing client retention, sending literature, and offering additional products and services.
•    Adapts to tools to market (Email, Chat, SMS, Social, Mobile App, VOIP, ePort) that encourage quick engagement, appointments, and rapid response.
•    Provide information in response to incoming calls from leads regarding pre-file questions, marketing materials, technical information, and service information in CRM system.
•    Ability to explain complex technical concepts, (Capital Gains, Depreciation, Exemption) while lending expertise of pre-file questions, technical, and service information.
•    Understand all Forms for Business taxable income, correct filing statuses, and reinstatements (1120, 1065).
•    Understand and Prepare for Individuals deductions, credit, allowances (1040), Amendments, and Trusts (1041).

Daily Expectations:
•    Use excellent time-management and organizational skills demonstrating the highest personal and ethical standards through all communication tools.
•    Review financial records, receipts, prior tax returns, income statements, and miscellaneous documentation to determine forms needed to prepare return.
•    Accurately completes all related tax forms in accordance with policies, and in compliance with current legislation and regulations (i.e., client signatures).
•    Furnishes taxpayers with sufficient answers to questions and provides future tax planning assistance.
•    Consults tax law reference materials and web journals when necessary to offer the best solutions to taxpayers regarding issues you are not familiar with.
•    Resolves client complaints within a timely manner and/or refers situation and solutions to supervisor (as appropriate) for resolution while maintaining diplomacy and tact when dealing with escalated calls.
•    Solicit business via email, in-person, mail, text, social media, business networks, etc., for Audit Insurance, Amendments, W9 updates, Extensions, etc.)
•    Remain open to assist virtual, remote, and on-location teammates when needed.

Commission: 90% Commission
Bonus averages: $100 to $1000/month
